2014 Illinois Horse Fair

March 2014 saw four horses from Bellbottom Farm representing the mini gypsy in Illinois, at the state fairgrounds in Springfield.  I think this was our fifth time showing the ponies to the public there.  The weather is usually a challenge and this year it was still COLD which had us throwing the blankets in our laps when we had a few minutes nothing to do.  Or, stealing a spot in a heated area of the barn during a demonstration, LOL.  Always good to pick up a new tip about something now and then.

Wyatt was our highlight of the display and who can say how many times people remarked on his huge mustache and several asked if it was real, which was very comical to hear.  As if a person could attach something like that to a horses lips!  But it was a successful and tiring weekend for the ponies as well as the humans and we appreciate the opportunity to show our mini gypsy horses to the public.

Wyatt was joined in Springfield by Bellbottom Tuppenny Horse, 3/4 yearling colt and his half sister two year old 3/4 gypsy filly Bellbottom M&M (both sired by The Executive) as well as little yearling Bellbottom July Sparkler who will mature about 34″ tall.
